[THIN] Transport Driver error on modem

Apologies if this posted twice, I sent this yesterday and have not seen
it come through the list.
A user is trying to connect to our Presentation Server 3 box through a
direct modem connection and is getting a Transport Driver error.
Earlier, he was able to connect to our older Metaframe 1.8 box, but
cannot connect to the new one. I've heard of this error connecting
through a network, but never direct dialin. Any ideas for a resolution?
