I agree - all I did was tweak the example code given in the WI4 sdk - takes the machine name and filters the app list based on the id. What we wanted was to provide a more limited list of apps to 'generic' users. I used the ica object code to present the machine name to the web site, then filtered the app list based on machine id. Would be neater if the full clients could provide a similar level of functionality; or the policies could be extended to return a filtered list dependent on the client name/ip address -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joe Shonk Sent: 24 August 2005 17:33 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Top 5 Citrix/RDP utilities Sort of, it's more of a PNAgent thing... It would nice to be able to control what Published application are presented to the End User based on what device they are currently on. Perhaps they are in the lab, so they see the applications (start menu/desktop) that pertain to the lab and all of its equipment. What if that user moves to a PACS machine? Some of these HIS (Health information systems) are licensed per station, so when a user logs in from an EpicCare station, they will see the EpicCare ICONs. When they log into a Pod, they do not. He asked me to give him a top 5 list of utilities or new features I would want for a citrix server. Anyone on the list have a top five most wanted list they would be willing to share? I have my own, but would like to see the opinions of others on this list. Any new tool you would like to see for server admin, maybe a new virtual channel for a specific app, or a new feature for a specific market that does not exist. Thanks in advance... ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: triCerat Inc. You need Day Zero Protection! Get Proactive with triCerat's Simplify Suite.
