I will be covering this as part of my presentation at the BriForum (www.briforum.com). This will include results on both VMWare ESX and Microsoft Virtual Server (using an add-on CPU management software package). Generally, unless you really know what you are doing you want to use these only inside of the Guest OS, not on the Host OS itself. Specifically, controlling CPU usage and maximizing disk and network I/O throughput? For instance, if you were to run an application like Threadmaster to control overall CPU usage, would it make the most sense to run it on the guest VM, on the host server, or both? -- -------------- 'The difference between theory and practice is larger in practice than it is in theory.' ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor SeamlessPlanet.com Domain Names Register your .com domain name for as low as $7.85 One of the lowest prices on the web!
