Right, should have extended the example, that is what is happens when you
post in the middle of doing ten other things and helping clients....

A good example is if you have a problematic printer (large scale office
copier, scanner, fax, stapler, etc.) and the client is a low end thin client
device. In this cases, the driver does not work on Metaframe, there is no
support in the terminal for the printer or for a Universal print driver, so,
you have to have a third machine which processes the print job, i.e. the
ThinPrint gateway running the printers native driver and communicating with
the printer via the remote LAN....

Print driver? What print driver? With Simplify Printing (Screwdrivers), none
of the MF servers need ANY print drivers .. No, not one ... to be able to
print via redirection back to the client. That's the whole point.

While redirecting to a gateway server can be an advantage in some
environments, the reason you give doesn't really illustrate what those are.
