So if you are upgrading server-end hardware/software then you will probably need to replace Client Hardware every 5 years or so unless the vendor decides to be helpful. Is that fair analysis? They haven't been replaced or added to. Which was part of the rationale behind using them - ie not needing to get in the cycle of having to upgrade client hardware every X year(s). Quite disappointing, though, is the lack of vendor support at firmware level since '99, so these thin clients can't fully leverage later client / protocol developments.
