When you use process explorer, what is the base priority of csrss.exe
and winlogon.exe? In addition does csrss spike at 100% CPU when you try
to use the startmenu?

Environment - NT4, Metaframe 1.8 (I know, I know).

Around 80 servers. Upon logon, you spend minutes waiting to be able to
fully control the Start Button. I believe something is up with
Explorer, but I haven't been able to find it yet. The ICA Toolbar is
also seen on the Desktop, but everything on it works immediately. So,
my workaround to figure out what is happening on a server is to add the
Command Prompt to the ICA Toolbar, click it, and then do everything I
need to from there.
Explorer really seems to be the only thing that is acting this way.

After a few minutes Explorer seems to finally be done doing whatever it
is doing and everything is fine the rest of the day for that session. I
have run AdAware, Hijack This, etc looking for any additional clues but
came up empty.

How can I find out exactly what Explorer is doing when this is
happening? I have tried FileMon and am heading for RegMon next. Great
tools, but not a lot of fun with 50 other users on the server at the
same time.
