Never ran Autoruns before.  Excellent utility.  Need to do a little research
on why we really need WebCheck.dll, but the rest looks as expected.

I will be using regmon and filemon after hours to make things easier to
read.

Do you run the PNagent or anything that might be trying to dynamically load
up the start menu and stalling you out?

Do you have a test server or something you can test against.  You are right
that running filemon and regmon is no picnic while others are on the same
server.

You could also run Auntoruns and see if anything goofy is set to run at
startup.  We had a strange lag once that turned out the be the registration
reminder from Omnipage loading.

Process Explorer might give you some better insight to what explorer is
doing too.
