I am running Windows 2003 SP1 MFPS 4.0 Farm.
I usually have 3 servers serving a published desktop, plus one that is
a dedicated data store, management consoles, etc.
One of the 3 app servers has been crashing, I suspect a bad power
supply, so I have taken it out of the servers for the published
desktop. So today we had a heavier than normal load and went over 100
users, but it seems to be maxing at 100 users. When I would try to
log on as the 101st user to the published desktop from my laptop I
would get the error message:
"the metaframe server you are trying to reach is not configured with
an alternate address"
I looked it up in the Citrix KB and found some threads about altaddr,
but there is no NAT being done on our network. When I connected
directly to the server with the Citrix client it went fine.
Is there a setting somewhere that limits the published desktop to 50
connections per server?
I added the problem server back into the pool for the published
desktop and was able to go over the 100 sessions fine.
