I went through this same thing. No LPR printing on the T5500's that I could
figure out.
I ended up using an windows print server and a VBscript that reads an access
db which matches hostnames and print shares.
It works but I'd rather do direct LPR printing from the thin client.

I just got my hands on a HP T5510 thin client. So far it seems to work
really well except for the fact that I can't find a way to print directly
from the thin client to an IP printer without using a print server. Does
anyone know if CE.Net supports LPR printing? Does anyone know of 3rd party
add on that allows a HP thin client to print directly to an IP printer.
