Hi Gary, Some tools for you :- lsreport.exe http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317592 and also lsview http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=4D6541A6-D9DD-4 F93-9EC2-7EA0E3968628&displaylang=en Gotchas on upgrading? As far as I was aware 2008 enforced the license count whereas 2003 did not, but then I changed my mind when I read this article:- http://www.msterminalservices.org/articles/Changes-Windows-Server-2008-T erminal-Server-Licensing-Part1.html Not done it yet - its in the pipeline here - so maybe someone with some first hand experience on the list can give you better feedback. =) Kind Regards, Jaime ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Gary Williams Sent: 08 January 2010 12:04 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] TS Licensing Question Hi Guys, I've been lurking on this list for a while and have found it very useful. I am hoping you can help me with a problem I've got. I work for a large multi-national company with Citrix/TS servers all over the world, they all connect back to a central 2003 TS license server which I am looking to upgrade to 2008 R2. The problem that I have run into is that there is no definitive list of which servers connect to obtain their licenses from this license server. Does anyone on this list know how I can identify a list of servers that have connected to a particular license server? Also does anyone have any gotchas that I should know about for a 2003 -> 2008 R2 license server upgrade?
