It's easier to amalgamate farms with WI, you don't need the bolt on ESN
(Enterprise Services for Nfuse?)with WI.

So if you have two farms and you want published apps to appear on a
single page, WI makes it a breeze.

that would explain why SAM is so horribly expensive then :)

So am I correct that WI comes on the MF(XP and 3) cds, or is it a
download-=3D from-citrix thing? (wait, you gave me a url to that the =
other
day didnt you=3D ! *looks* ah, no that was nf classic..)

Is there any/much difference between WI and NF Classic, or is it just a
log=3D os and colours change?

NFuse / WI is the basic web portal stuff that talks to the farm, and
web-ifies (kind of) what is available via PN (well to be more accurate
PN agent sort of desktop-ifies NFuse / WI).

So it takes credentials, then checks the farm for what's available for
you (from a Citrix farm perspective), and presents it. It also deals
with client side ICA client availability, too.

It's eminently customisable, and is largely a ASP based application,
using Java, scripting and Citrix's own magicky stuff to interface with
the farm.

MSAM is basically a more involved portal solution, including CDAs (and
customisable by adding CDAs or web parts). It includes much of what is
available via NFuse / WI, but also true portal use of the web page, for
diverse other applications to be presented and used at the same time.
When I looked at it, the same degree of single sign on that you could
use with NFuse / WI on Win32 desktops was not possible - the password
manager software was pushed as the way of getting this sort of
functionality.
