Indeedy - he was, and is why Coburn's character was so named in Hudson
Hawk (not because the Hudson Hawk character was meant to be a fake one,
just as sort of a homage (said in French accent ;-)).
I'm not sure you'll have much joy with the communism quote, though -
unless you know the movie - 'cos it's not on IMDB ;-)
Second, related trivia question (there is a link, bear with me...) -
Cary Grant's character (Roger Thornhill) in North by Northwest, sort of
adopted the identity of the nebulous "George Kaplan" after being assumed
to be him, in order to solve the puzzle. What was his character's (Roger
Thornhill) middle initial and what did he say it stood for?
