I don't know if this is related at all, not knowing your situation, but we had
Novell NDPS printers mapped on some workstations here and not others. The
Citrix servers didn't have NDPS installed and when the clients with NDPS
printers mapped it would crash the spooler service. Changing the printers on
the client machine solved the problem.

Hope this helps in some way.

Subject: [THIN] Spooler hangs

I think I sent a message a while back regarding servers having spooler
problems all of a sudden. I've narrowed down the problem slightly. (
Problem occurs on Win NT TSE SP 6 - Metaframe XPe SP2)

When connecting from a few clients, the printer auto-creation process hangs
the spooler on the server that is being connected to. This means that the
spooler service has to be stopped and started. I've tried changing the
driver on the local client (even to LaserJet 4) and the problem still
occurs. Tried different users as well as different Citrix Client versions
and still have the same problem. Other clients can connect with the same
printer and map it successfully and not cause any issues. It seems that
whatever it is about a few client's machines (mine is one of them) can
break the spooler service on any NT servers. Oddly, connecting to a Win
2000 Terminal Server box has no problems.

Anyone seen anything like this? This is getting to be a big issue.

Thanks for any help,
Tony
