That's correct, but I heard rumours that 4.5 may have some new abilities to
poke holes in the isolation and allow more inter-application communication,
does anyone know if this is true??

That is correct, it is a pain in the you know where, you will also have to
sequence Excel in there as well

For clarity, if I want both Sage and Act to work with Word, I have to
sequence;

a) Word and Sage and

b) Word and Act

As two different projects and then deploy them?

Is that correct?

If that's the case, and I have to sequence, say, half-a-dozen versions of
Office, will TS load half-a-dozen sets of dlls etc or is Softgrid/Ts clever
enough to only load one of each identical dll?

And will they all point to, eg half-a-dozen custom.dics?

In Version 4 if you want an application to interface with another you will
have to sequence them both together, there is no escaping the OSD

Have now been playing with Softgrid for a bit and remain gob-smacked.
However, I can't seem to find much detail on inter-application stuff.

I can't quite get my head round whether an app that connects to Office, for
example, will put it's hooks into 'real' office on the TS or must have
Office sequenced with it. If the latter, does that mean you have to sequence
Office with every application that references it, or just once?

If you have to do it every time, then how do you handle eg File Extensions?

If there is only one virtual copy of Office on the Q: drive, and
half-a-dozen apps accessing it in their various ways, are you not back to
one of the original problems - that their various ways of interrelating with
Office may interfere with each other?

I understand that 4.5 will help with all this, but presumably people are
doing something now?

On a more general note, can anyone point me at 'non-official' documentation
similar to "The art of sequencing" by Sean Donahue etal?
