I've had network browsing be very slow on machines that have drives mapped
to non-existent or powered off machines.

Hello Everyone!
We are running Metaframe XP FP2 with a combination of Microsoft OS's.
The problem seems to centered around the Win9x machines (XP and 2000 seem
to work with no problems), when trying to save a working file to a
location the list of drives / shares seems to take quite a while to list.
Network browsing on these machines seems to be slow also. Have a WINS
server running and DNS seems to be fine, any ideas?
