Neil, 

do you tend to retain folders or redirect them.. I guess it depends on
application siloing, and different servers overwriting the retained folders on
logoff...

Flex profiles do *NOT* only allow you to retain registry trees.

You can also retain files or folders (including hierarchies) in *just*
the same way that you can with registry paths.

Look in the INI files and the other examples - admittedly, the document
sort of sketches over this, but you can do it in just the same way.

So *just* like HKCU - you can make the majority of it mandatory, and
trimmed / tuned for download size / time. Yet include specific folders
or registry hives where you want persistent personalisation.
