I do two things, to map printers based on location. Have printer share names contrived to match clientnames of devices used at locations (the login script then just uses the clientname as a printer share name). Or script that accesses AD, finds the current computer in AD, ascertains certain fields, that point to another OU, containing printers that go with machines in that location, and then map them. Personally I dislike having to hardcode "magic" in login scripts. So the rationale I've followed, being that if you're using AD, *it* should be the repository, and the source creating the connecting. The script, ideally should just access that, rather than actually have data within it.
