When I wrote 2003 it should have been "2010". That's not a typo. On July 13,
2010, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003 R2 transitioned from the
Mainstream Support phase to M$'s Extended phase.

Windows Server 2008 has Mainstream Support until July 9, 2013. And fact &
non-typo fans, W2k8R2 mainstream support is currently also scheduled to end
July 2013 with extended support being 2018.

Its fine - we'll all be in the cloud by then and driving rocket cars.

Mainstream support for 2003 ends 13 July 2003. Extended support ends 14 July
2015.

The extended support phase includes paid incident support and no cost
security updates
