With excel they have to disable the feedback with animation tick box in
options and it will fix it.

isnt that just IE though?
the users here always get it in Excel - if you wanna select an area, which =
includes a few rows/columns just off the screen, theyll hold, drag and move=
to the edge.. then excel has a fit and goes off to row 79 billion or colum=
n hjd or something insane like that!

Every time they whinge, i tell them about SHIFT-END-arrow key :)

Try clearing the smooth scrolling check box under interent explorer options
advanced tab. Restart the browser once you do this.=20

We have a number of WYSE and Televideo thin terminals experiencing the
same problem. We have an application that requires you scroll down
through several screens. When you click and hold the down arrow it
takes several seconds for the screen to actually catch up to you and you
end up scrolling way past where you wanted to go. I've tried adjusting
everything I could think of on the terminals themselves. Is there
anything on the server that you can set as far as scrolling time?
This problem does not occur when running the application from a PC
through the ICA client, only on terminals.

What's keeping you from getting more from your terminal servers? Did you
know, in most cases, CPU Utilization IS NOT the single biggest
constraint to scaling up?! Get this free white paper to understand the
real constraints & how to overcome them. SAVE MONEY by scaling-up rather
than buying more servers.
