Added note....use Windows 2000 if you can for your profile server. Less
corrupted profiles.

Eric,

We ran into a similar issue saving profiles and home directories to a Novell
share.
As I recall we set an environment variable on the TSE and Windows 2000
servers. For
example on the TSE boxes I think we set to WTS=1.8 and on the Windows 2000
we set
WTS=W2k. Also, I the other gothca I think was we had clustered Novell
servers. We
had to specify a Novell server in the Terminal Server profile path instead
of the
virtual name. By doing this we were able to keep separate profiles for the
TSE and
W2K environments in their Home directories. Hope this helps.

Regards,

Mike Semon

Subject: [THIN] Saving TS profile to Novell Server

Hi-

I've been trying to get my farm (Win2K3, SP3/FR3) to save TS profiles to =
a
Novell server. I am using Novell's Dynamic Local User capability to =
create
the users on the fly (which works fine). We have Zenworks 3.2 and =
Novell
Client v4.9SP1 on the servers.

The profiles will save if I point them to a Windows share. The Novell =
share
has full rights for everyone. The path that is in the DLU profile is
\\fp1\vol1\groups\citrix\profiles\%username% The %username% gets
substituted fine, but the error message users get when logging in is =
"The
network name cannot be found" along with the part about the local =
profile
will not be copied back to the server.

I've searched both Citrix and Novell's website, as well as used google, =
to
no avail. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

-Eric
