[THIN] SUN ICA client versus RDesktop -- typing in Word performance issue

We currently have a problem with the ICA client for Sun Solaris Workstation
(256 or high color).
When typing in for example Word the characters do not appear
smoothly on the screen and often after finished typing the last
character(s) appear.
We tried the rdesktop (RDP) client and this one does not
have this problems on the same SUN workstation. This one works
as fast as the Windows client.
As the users were used to have an fast X11 solution (UIS solution in the past),
we need to figure out the problem. It looks like an input buffer kind of
problem, however Citrix is not able (yet) to help us.
And shouldn't be the ICA client give better results then the RDP client ?
Any comments/suggestions are very much appreciated.
