I downloaded the SQLREPL.zip file, tried to unzip it but got an error message. Tried to fix it, managed to download the .doc file but can't open it either. Am I doing something wrong? -----Original Message----- From: Ron Oglesby [mailto:roglesby@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, February 07, 2003 2:53 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] SQL Replication Draft Ok. I put my first draft out on my download page. It is at www.thecitrixguy.com/downloads.htm Its just the first draft so please be kind.=20 The trick to this is simple. If you set it up as per the Advanced Concepts guide it misses a few steps (like setting up the subscriber service. Plus it will only work correctly if your SA account on the SQL server has a blank password. At the end of the doc I give you the command to run in the query analyzer against the subscriber database to tell it to use the distributors SA password so that updates (like a new driver, or hotfix or even pub app changes) will update the citrix datastore. NOW It is still a best practice to do changes at a CMC connected to the Master database (distributor/publisher) but these little changes will work too and you wont see to many problems from stuff not being able to update from remote servers.
