authentication. is now working..

I have a 2000 server and i am trying to install citrix xp. When getting to
the part of doing the sql authentication and i get the following error.
Connection failed:
SQLState: '28000'
SQL Server Error: 18452
login failed for user 'xpadmin'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL
Server connection.
anyone seen this before? I have everything created with the database
correctly. I installed mdac 2.7 on the terminal server. Everything should
be correct.
Any ideas?
