Call ms PPS and request that hotfix again. The hotfix package for this fix
has benn updated and re-released last week (10.11.2002). So your printing on
sp3 should work with the new Q328020-Fix.

this fixes are also included in the new hotfix package:

Q298692 : You May Not Be Able to Add a Printer by Using Canonical Name
Q327984 : Profile Not Unloaded If You Change Printer Settings and Log Off

her a newsgroup note from ms that the fix is updated:

The hotfix for Q328020 has been re-released without the issue mentioned
below and is now available. To be safe, if you have already applied this
fix, you should reapply with the new one.

The original post follows:

It was recently discovered that the current hot fix package for Q328020 may
result in an inability to print from a Terminal Server. Users that
installed this hot fix package and can no longer printer should find the
following event in their SYSTEM event log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Mnager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7031
User: N/A
Computer: <Server Name>
Description: The Print Spooler service terminated unexpectedly.

The hot fix package for Q328020 is currently pulled due to this issue. It
is recommended that all users that installed the Q328020 package install the
updated hot fix package as well. The updated package will be made available
in the next few days.

Thanks.
