I wouldn't have any patches or service packs being forced onto your servers
no matter what package you are using. My parent company wanted to force
Patchlink on me and they told me they were not guaranteeing the patches
would be installed in install mode nor would they test the patches on a
Metaframe server before deploying. I'm actually glad Windows 2003 SP1
caused problems for Citrix because it help me convince my parent company
that forcing hotfixes and service packs on a Metaframe server is a bad idea.

Hello all
I would like your take on using SMS in a Citrix farm?
At my last job I refused to have SMS touch the Citrix servers, but here with
the ITSM SOX thing going on I might just loose the OS side of the servers. I
really do not want to loose control of what patches are pushed (forced) onto
the servers.
If SMS is working fine for some, can you please tell me what process you
have in place to control the SMS packages?
