The registry entry coupled with G method printing means that you dont need the
policy to revert.
G method printing does not have the limitation with the spaces and length. Only
F method / SAPLpd does.
Are you able to try without the policy ?
Also, you dont have any SAPLpd paths specified on the Citrix servers do you ?

I get the pop-up for windows printers.
Using an HP Driver, it works and prints fine.
I am able to print from Word, within Citrix session.
We are using the UPD, AND have the policy set to rename using the old naming
standard, due to notes we had seen regarding spaces in printer names.
My reg file is below.

Do you definitely see the Windows control box after selecting frontend01 ?
If you dont use the UPD does the print definitely goes to the print queue if
using a standard print queue ?
If you launch Word (and session share) and then print , does that print ok ?
I was slightly unsure of your reply "We have also used the policy to use old

Have you stopped using the policy and now are testing with the new UPD ?
I don't wish to be patronising, but you definitely have got the reg key
correct as well ?

We have also used the policy to use old printer names, to remove the spaces.
I have set the registry as listed below. I set this using a batch file,
fired from the usrlogon.cmd.
Print job goes to the Citrix server queue, but never gets to the print
server queue.

There are a couple of things you have to check to get this working.
1. Are you using G method Front End printing (Front End Printing with
Control Technology)? Ask your SAP Basis team.
If using F (SAPLpd) method it wont work with the latest UPD due to the
spaces in the printer name.If you do then will will have to revert back to the
old style UPD via Citrix policy.
2. Have you enabled the registry key for SAP printing using EMF ?
I set this via a preference adm file only for our users who use the latest
UPD
To force the SAP GUI to send the data as EMF data, please add the following
registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPlpd\SAPLPD
Type: String
Name: SwinDataType
Value: EMF
All works well apart from one of our systems that doesnt have the required
SAP patches for G method printing.
As a matter of interest, what viewer are you using to view invoices ? Ixos ?

Side note.
I meant SAP 6.40 patch 23.
Also, UPD printing, from SAP, found that the print job sends to the queue
on the Citrix server, but that never gets sent to the queue on the print server.
I have confirmed, using the "HP Universal Printing PCL 6" driver, SAP
printing works. Is this or these (HP Universal drivers) a safe option in the
Citrix environment?
