Plenty (of gotchas) ;-)

But the problem being that ActiveX controls are largely individual
things.

Understanding what goes on when the ActiveX control installs, though, is
pretty essential to automating it for numerous users.

Filemon and regmon are your friends when installing it as admin - but
bearing in mind this whole security thing - be vary careful that you
trust the content when installing an ActiveX control (or any active
content) as admin.
