Harry,

Weâre pretty âold schoolâ with thick clients and print servers.
And yes, within XenApp, we use the Citrix UPD exclusively.

Steve,

I'm actually having some issues with a Ricoh Aficio MP C3002 in my environment
and drivers. In your case, you were able to install the mini driver onto the
client -- are you using thin or thick clients ? Within xenapp are you then
forcing all connections to use Citrix UPD ?

I'm in a XD environment with HP Thin clients based on windows 7 embedded and
have found the best success with installing the driver onto to the thin client
and have XD auto-create the client printer.

Since we are a bank, our auditors don't like to see customer private data lying
around on the printers.
So, we use the Ricoh "Locked Print" job type feature.
That feature doesn't work with the PCL driver at the client and UPD on Citrix.
We found that if we use the MINI driver on the client, "Locked Print" works
with UPD on Citrix.

I've got Ricoh here and the PCL v1.2.0.0 driver works perfectly fine.

I don't put a lot of users on a single server though, so I'd consider the
Citrix UPD if you are going to load up a box.
