Hi Andy,

Unless you've disabled the default TS behaviour which matches the session
regional settings to the user's keyboard locale, you will occasionally get odd
things happening.

Check out Microsoft technote KB924852 for an explanation. The following group
policy snippet let's you control this behaviour in your server farm. Note these
are machine settings.

--------------------------------
POLICY "Ignore Remote Client Keyboard Locale"
    KEYNAME "System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout"
PART "Set Server to disregard client keyboard locale" CHECKBOX
        VALUENAME "IgnoreRemoteKeyboardLayout"
            VALUEON NUMERIC 1
            VALUEOFF NUMERIC 0
        END PART
    END POLICY ; keyboard locale
-------------------------------

regards,

Rick

Hi all

We have a ps4 w2k3 farm with approx 150 users on, all citrix servers and DC's
are set to UK regional settings, with no remains of US regional settings on any
of the servers

Every now and again, the odd user will just suddenly change to US settings, but
it only happens say once a month, for one out of 150 users ?!

Anyone else experienced this, as I cant think where it would be getting the
setting from ?

Thanks

Andy
