Guys,

I need some pointers here for information.

Were in the middle of a project for a potential client and are starting
to see a political mess coming up with their preferred vendor (clone
servers).

The servers that they have sold the client doesn't support warm reboots.
You have to physically turn these machines off to reboot them. (don't
ask why!!!!) Not to mention these servers are way overspec'ed for the
role of a term server.

I stated that we need to have these machines able to reboot quickly as
part of a maintenance plan of cycled reboots. Nothing new here!!

I do have some information/white papers from citrix stating this is best
practice. But have nothing from M$ or anyone else as I can see the
client and vendor starting to ask for reasons why.

I know the reasons for this, but I need ammo to present to the client
from Citrix/M$ and anyone else.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony Lyne
