There are a few of these scripts out there... Check Doug Brown's old site (dabcc.com and click on the old site link) for a version of the smart script. This type of script is great for 24/7 environments. Yet you still need to set idle/disconnect values for this to work. ROLLING SCHEDULE At 10am (server 1 stops any NEW USERS connecting but allows those who are already connected to continue until such times as they disconnect OR their session is timed out.) Note a batch file will continuelly run query user for example. Once its detected their is no one else on the server it performs a reboot After reboot it then re-enables logins It then sends a command to SERVER 2 to do the same thing..... Server2 tells Server3, server 3 tells server4 and so on. This is my idea and I've not tested it YET ! ----- Original Message ----- From: "cherie.watts Watts" <cherie.watts@xxxxxxxxx> To: <thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 16, 2004 7:43 AM Subject: [THIN] Re: Reboot Schedule > I have worked for companies that must have 24by 7 uptime, but didn't > have the servers for load balancing so they just stayed up.
