Install mode is session specific - you can try to query other session state 
and will see that they are in execute mode. So, unless your app kicks other 
users out, sessions should not have any issues.

However, this is not recommended, especially when you have no idea what 
happens under the hood with particular installation.

In general, it is always recommended to avoid installation of new things 
with users on the system, although it might look like there is not visible 
change. The only exception I will see is with self-contained applications 
that do not introduce any new system components to your system. Even in 
cases like that you are never sure unless you are intimately familiar with 
application.
