Yeah, best practice is to install apps at the console as and admin when n=
o users are logged on and the logons are disabled.

Are you sure install mode only monitors the current session, I was under =
the impression it monitored the entire server?

Agreed - I've never known install mode to kick off other users. And insta=

mode only affects the current session - as opposed to all sessions.

Historical gut feeling says it doesn't feel comfortable for me, but I can=
't
actually cite any concrete technical reasons why it should cause a proble=
m.
Personally, I tend to only do it on servers where (as an admin) I'm the s=
ole
user - but again that's more for a feel-good reason than anything else. W=
ith
a gun to my head, I'd do it with an active server.
