Funny you should mention Rapport. I have been wrestling with it for weeks now.
We just got it a couple weeks ago and still can't get it working right. The
main issue has been that we couldn't get or apply images accross our switches.
They tried to blame our network, but through a lot of research I found that the
problem was that their software wasn't RFC compliant. Once I proved it they
were quick to fix it.
We use Nortel switches and it turns out the only thing they test on is Cisco.
They didn't find the problem because apparently Cisco's DHCP relaying
functionality is also non-RFC compliant and allow packets to pass through the
switch that should be dropped according to the RFC specifications.
Now that we can image, we have yet another problem related to the devices after
an image is applied and who knows how long that will take to fix. The part that
really torques me off is I have spent most of my time over the past few weeks
tracking down a bug in their software, at my clients expense, after they tried
to blame our network gear and our configuration. As someone who used to work in
sales I would think that putting a customer through the kind of trouble they
put me through would warrant an apology, or a thank you, or at least some
assistance with the other issues we are having with their software.
I wanted to mention this on the list because when I was looking into this issue
I couldn't find anything on the web to help resolve it. This way, it will show
up on thethin.net and if someone else runs into a similair issue they will see
they are not alone and could also contact me if they want more information. If
anyone does have questions about this issue or wants to know specifics let me
know.

Oh yeah... I know who they are. I use their product to push out all of my SMS
installs. As a user of Wyse terminals, I was hoping to get rid of that piece
of #*&#* Rapport! :-(
