I have to agree. Both products do what they say they will do. Having seen both at client sites though I tend to lean toward TScale. I like the interface better, I like the memory mgmt components, etc. and I just like the people I have had dealings with better. NOW for Armtech I am not saying they didn't have good people or did not do what needed to be done a client. They did fix a tactical problem the client had, and the engineer I dealt with at the client site was knowledgeable in their product. Just in my dealings with both companies I have been happier with the responses from RTO and with the product's value overall. If you are truly seeking all options there is also Appsense Optimizer at http://www.appsense.com and Wyse Expedian (which is basically the same as RTO as well as Relevos by Wmsoftware http://www.wmsoftware.com that you should evaluate. Both servers have 4 GB RAM which is for 75% (3 GB) consumed in the afternoon of a typical day. This client wants to optimize his memory usage so that when one servers would die, the other one would be able to sustain the load. I am in the process of evaluating RTOsoft's Tscale and Aurema's Armtech. At this point I looked at Armtech which I think only gives me the possibility to put quota on users CPU and memory usage. What I am looking for really is something that does pure out-of-the-box tuning so that my server consumes less memory (be it virtual or real memory) without putting quota on users server usage. Questions: 1. is this possible? (ie. pure application optimization without the need to enforce quota) 2. can this be done by one of these two products? If not, is there a product that I don't yet know about?
