RTO Software Announces the Immediate Availability of TScale 1.5
Suwanee, GA.-- November 25, 2002 -- RTO Software announced today the
immediate availability of TScale 1.5. TScale 1.5 adds the following new
features to TScale:
1. The TScale Console has been enhanced to archive sessions once
the session count is over 30. This enables the administrator to easily
view the last 30 optimization sessions without having to view all of the
sessions that have ever been run on the server.
2. The effects of turning off optimizations for the most recent
optimization session, any application, or any set of individual
components are now reflected in the Sessions Summary graph and the
Applications Summary graph in the TScale Console.
3. The TScale Installation now operates via the Microsoft
Installation Service (MSI)
4. The TScale Installation supports a "silent install" which can be
invoked from a command line or a batch file. This allows for the easy
distribution and subsequent installation of TScale across large server
farms.
5. TScale 1.5 operates in two different evaluation modes. If you
install TScale 1.5 without a key, it operates in demo mode. In demo
mode, TScale 1.5 will find the applications that will get optimized and
will list them in the Pending folder in the Sessions tree. However, in
demo mode, no actual optimizations will be implemented. In evaluation
mode, TScale will operate as a production product for 30 days, after
which time the optimizations which have been implemented during
evaluation mode will be turned off.
6. Organizations which have downloaded previous evaluation versions
of TScale and which have expired evaluations of TScale on their servers,
can download and install TScale 1.5 and get 30 more days of free
evaluations. Organizations interested in evaluating TScale 1.5 should
download the TScale 1.5 evaluation software and then contact
Sales@xxxxxxxxxxx for an updated evaluation key.
7. TScale 1.5 is available as a no charge upgrade to all existing
customers.
