I haven't seen a study like this but in this case the overall stability,
scalability and feature set should be enough justification. There is a
dramatic difference between 1.x and XP in these areas. When we have upgraded
clients from 1.x to XP end users have noticed the difference and had a much
time with printing, availability, etc.

When XP came out Citrix did publish a paper on why to upgrade, you might
check their site and see if it is still available.

Subject: [THIN] ROI Metaframe 1.8 to XP

A shot in the dark, but has anyone ever put together an ROI on the upgrade
cost from Metaframe 1.8 to XP?

Thanks.
