Yeah but RDP in 2003 sessions let you do a "true console" session, this is
VERY useful so for a truly complete management solution we use both ICA and
RDP....

This is not true on the latest MetaFrame release. RDP connections now use
Citrix licenses... Go figure.

Same argument by connecting to a MF server via RDP you are not utilising a
Citrix license, therefore its cheaper see. This will allow you to do RDP
for local and Ctx for remote via WI and CSG

I meant connecting to MetaFrame servers via RDP over ICA client. My
intention wasn't to start a Citrix Vs. TS debate... Although some
interesting points have already been made.

Do you mean Metframe Servers or Terminal Servers?

If TS, then the answer is: low cost, low complexity, it works. If MS
then
I've no idea:). Nick

I'm just curious about something within this group.

I've noticed more people than I expcected using RDP to connect their
users
to their Metaframe servers. I've always been a big ICA client person
myself. I'm just curious to see what benefits some folks see w/ the RDP
client over the ICA client, or is it just preference?

Thanks.
