Yeah but RDP in 2003 sessions let you do a "true console" session, this is VERY useful so for a truly complete management solution we use both ICA and RDP.... ICA Client This is not true on the latest MetaFrame release. RDP connections now use Citrix licenses... Go figure. This will allow you to do RDP for local and Ctx for remote via WI and CSG -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jason Miller Sent: 26 August 2004 15:29 To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: RDP Vs. ICA Client I meant connecting to MetaFrame servers via RDP over ICA client. My intention wasn't to start a Citrix Vs. TS debate... Although some interesting points have already been made. -----Original Message----- From: Nick Smith [mailto:nick@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, August 26, 2004 10:13 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: RDP Vs. ICA Client I'm just curious about something within this group. I've noticed more people than I expcected using RDP to connect their users to their Metaframe servers. I've always been a big ICA client person myself. I'm just curious to see what benefits some folks see w/ the RDP client over the ICA client, or is it just preference? Thanks.
