You can reconnect to a disconnected session by the user name, not the client name. So, If user1 is at client name USER1 and moves to user2's machine with client name USER2, you can connect to the disconnected session out there with username "user1", from client USER2. It will let you pick up that session from a different client, essentially. -----Original Message----- From: Don Hickey [mailto:don.hickey@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, August 21, 2003 2:49 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Published app question Roaming reconnection? I'm trying to figure out how to fix a problem I have with pub. apps. I have MF XP, FR2. I publish the desktop. The problem is that I prevent users from running more than one session. Because of this if a user leaves his desk, goes to another location and fires up citrix he is denied access .... I would like it to reconnect him to his existing session. He shouldn't have to disconnect manually everytime he moves and I don't want to auto disconnect him if idle (especially if it's a short timeout). any thoughts? thanks -- Don Hickey -- Don Hickey BSc(CS), CCA Systems Integration Specialist Telus Enterprise Solutions (613) 784-4240 don.hickey@xxxxxxxxxxx
