[THIN] Published Desktops vs. Published Applications

Hello,
I have a 7 server Metaframe XPa (FR3) server farm.
I currently publish only applications, but have been asked to starting
publishing desktops. While I have not been given specific about exactly
what will be on these desktops I can say for certain at least the office
suite will be on the desktop, which means outlook and profiles.
My question is how many folks out there are actually publishing desktop
environments. If you are, would you share your experiences, issues,
successes.
Also, if anyone can point me to any good documentation that covers pros and
cons about this that would be most appreciated.
