I just map the required drive letter in a login script and setup the published application to point to X;\xyz\xyz.exe. The login script seems to run before the actual application is launched. Another alternative is put a batch file on the server and have it run: net use X: \\server\share cd xyx xyz.exe Cheers Jay Jukes *********************************************** Systems Engineer MCSE MCP+I CCA CSM Technology Ph: 61 8 8936 1400 Fax: 61 8 8941 1657 Email: jay.jukes@xxxxxxxxxx Web: www.csm.com.au *********************************************** |--------+-------------------------> | | Jennifer Booth | | | <JBooth@VIEJAS.| | | com> | | | Sent by: | | | thin-bounce@fre| | | elists.org | | | | | | | | | 20/09/2002 | | | 10:06 | | | Please respond | | | to thin | | | | |--------+-------------------------> > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: "'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx'" <thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | | cc: | | Subject: [THIN] Published Application Question | > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| This may be a dumb question, but I don't know what an obvious question is. I need to publish an app for one user that must use a drive letter, not an UNC path. So the shortcut must be x:\xyz\xyz.exe where x: is mapped to \\server\share. How do I accomplish that? I cannot publish the desktop for her... just the app. Any help will be appreciated... I'm going to keep digging for an answer myself. Thanks in advance!
