We have 3 -B parameters set to 50000 and one set to 20000. The server
has 1 GB of physical RAM. We are using 4 databases. Is this too high?

   There should be a .pf file that the DB process uses at startup. How
do=20
you start and stop the databases ? Do you use ProControl ? What is the

version of Progress ? An example of what a .pf file might look like,
this=20
is for a Syteline DB

# PF-TYPE =3D B "SI Server" no
#
# SESSION,Session-related parameters
-L 300000
-TB 4
-TM 32
-inp 5000
-rand 2
-spin 2000
-Bt 500
-n 150
-bibufs 50
-aibufs 50
-Mn 12
-Ma 8
-Mf 3
-T c:\syteline-temp
#
# MAIN,SI
#-db f:\sym-db\SI
-H kauai
-N TCP
-S SI
-B 40000

The last param, the -B is set to 40000 or approximate 320 MB RAM.
