[THIN] Re: Problem connecting to NFuse

If the laptop is running Windows XP, try going into the advanced tab of the
network connection settings and see if the Windows XP firewall is enabled.
Try disabling for a brief time to test. We've noticed that some laptops
require that the built-in XP firewall be disabled to connect to our farm
over Nfuse...we substitute another software-based firewall or hardware
firewall in lieu of the XP firewall.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [THIN] Problem connecting to NFuse

Good Morning to you all.

I have a Laptop that I cannot to NFuse with the error I receive is
"There is no Citrix MetaFrame server configured on the Specified
Address"

The Laptop has Windows XP SP1 on it

I receive this error at the point after logon and try to connect to the
Application.

I am using a dial-up connection using Freeserve as the ISP, we have
other users who can use NFuse with Freeserve an other ISP's

We have run netstat -an this shows the laptop is sending a packet to
our server with the status syn_sent however it doesn't seem to reply

The Laptop is a "Compaq Evo N1015v" with an "Askey 1456vQLT (int)"
Modem in it, is anybody aware of specific hardware difficulties?

Our Setup is:
MetaFrame XPa
Web-Interface version 2

Can anybody help?

Thanks
Ed
