You can try setting the service to Manual and rebooting. That should keep it from attempting to start. I'd recommend doing a clean install for XP instead of doing an upgrade though. I went from NT4sp6 to Win2k. Now I want to upgrade 1.8 to XP but I'm getting an error on a file in \congif.msi\ The file that is giving the error is extracted from the XP install process and isn't present until I start the install. I am local admin and there are no security issues on the folder. I "think" that the problem lies with 1.8's current state. The Citrix 1.8 Program Neighborhood Service is "Starting" but never starts. I can't stop it or kill the process and I think that is why my upgrade is failing. Any suggestions? _____ Brian Claus, A+, Network+, MCP Network Administrator WESCO Distribution, Inc.
