I'm pretty sure the G85 is inkjet based. The link below point to G85 compatible accessories like ink cartridges and inkjet paper. http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/en/en-ww/series/1,12003,76313,30374,14.html -----Original Message----- From: Jason Patten [mailto:pattenj@xxxxxxxx] Sent: 13 August 2002 14:06 To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Printing.. weirdness I thought the OfficeJet printers were laser -----Original Message----- From: Angus Macdonald [mailto:Angus.Macdonald@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, August 13, 2002 4:39 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Printing.. wierdness Since it's an inkjet model, have you tried aliasing it to a DeskJet 550C instead? -----Original Message----- From: Jason Patten [mailto:pattenj@xxxxxxxx] Sent: 12 August 2002 20:43 To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Printing.. wierdness We have a client that is using a HP Officejet G85xi. When they attempt to print from our application the printout appears with Just seemingly Random ASCII characters. However if I send a Windows Test page it prints cleanly. The Officejet is aliased to a LaserJet 4 driver. At first I thought it might be some kind of Font issue. However the user has printed locally and cleanly using the suspected font. We have NT4TSE SP^ and MF 1.8SP2 on the servers.... Any ideas?
