Hi,

I want to have a look at how we currently use print drivers and print
from XenApp

Currently we have a mix of HP print drivers about 30 types of printers
and 100 or so queues.

We have also introduced a lot of Vista pc's and W7 laptops and some W7
laptops are having issues with the old print drivers as some date back
to Win 2000.

I always install all the drivers from my print server to my XenApp boxes
and this has worked well in the past, with minimal issues

Other than when we get a new printer and we have to plan to get the
driver on and then on to all the XenApp servers.

HP seem to be using the new universal print driver for most of the
printer models we have for to make W7 drivers available.

My thinking is this please correct me or steer me in a better direction
if possible.

If I migrate my print server to a test box
        Remove all the print drivers
Install the new HP universal driver
Remove Drivers from test XenApp server
Install all drivers from test print server
Test all printer models on XenApp

Test all printers on Vista and W7

I know Citrix has a universal print driver also but as we have a lot of
Visa and W7 laptops I feel that the HP universal will fit better.

I am going to give this a go and see what happens but as I say any
advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and have a great weekend

Ronnie
