UPD stands for Universal Print Driver. You may map some print drivers to it or globally set to autocreate only using UPD. When user logs in and no errors are in the log the printer might have been created but disconnected for some reason. From the client session press Ctrl+F3 and click "New" and type printcfg. Will you see the autocreated printer now? It should say it is "Disconnected". there is a button on the toolbar and you may try to connect it. Third party driver may require at least write access. Also what about UPD? I'm published multiple apps for these clients and they're working fine, however, I can't seem to get the printers configured properly. I was under the impression that if a driver was loaded on the server, say HP LJ 1100, when a client logs on with that client printer, it should auto create. Is that right? I've already ensured that the server properties identifies the proper driver and the connect client printer at logon is selected. My laserprinter is autocreated, the new clients printers are not. What exactly am I missing?
