HI All, I am working on a client site where all my printing settings are being taken from the client device. The client machines vary from win98-winxp pro, and some 2000 pro boxes for good measure. I have for the moment had to have my clients accessing a published program neighbourhood to access the servers (3) through a netgear router. The servers are running win2k sp3, fr3. I am having intermittent issues with the spooler service crashing for no apparent reason. I have my settings configured to map my users printer, use the universal if the native driver is not available. The client printers consist of a good old HP which works no problem, but during the implementation the company decided to then tell me that they have a few Brother muti function printers and during the week of the roll out 5 remote sites got 1 or 2 Kyocera printers, of course each one a slightly different model.. Since the remote users, there are 8 remote sites, have started accessing the system, I have had problems with the spooler service stopping, having print jobs stuck in the que. I have tried adding the native drivers, but still get the spooler stopping, I have excludd the paperport drivers, adobe acrobat, pdf factory pro, & symantec fax drivers from being created. If anyone has any hints on how to identify what is killing the spooler or in working with Kyocera printers, I would be very glad to hear from you. Thanks and Cheers Shane Broomhall Brisbane Aust
