We print to Z4M Plus and LP-2844 printers through an application called BarTender using ZebraNet print servers and I have not noticed any delay. ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Doug Rooney Sent: Wednesday, January 13, 2010 1:57 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Printing Issues - Take 2 Well, the SW vendor told me to get 'print servers' for the label printers and my problems would go away. Yeah right. But I did and sure enough, the disappearing printer issue went away, but now it takes an average of 30 seconds for a label to print, where it used to be about 2 seconds. I call the vendor and he said, Oh, that is not what I meant, I meant to put PCs in the factories and use them as print servers', I told him we got rid of the PCs and use terminals, he said "Oh, my bad". So, what can anyone suggest for using a Zebra TLP-2844 label printer with a Wyse 3150SE terminal in a MSTSC environment server being Windows 2003 server standard fully patched? I am thinking it is not a Starship issue but a network printer issue. Thank You ~Doug Rooney Sonoma Tilemakers IT Manager 7750 Bell Rd. I am having an odd issue that is driving me bonkers. I have our shipping and samples departments using a Win 2k3 terminal server, main application is Starship, no problem, well, we decided to upgrade the server, so we had another terminal server, better CPU, more RAM... and it was not being used, so I moved user profiles to it, and all the Starship data files, everything is setup correctly as far as I can tell, but, no one can print. The terminals are Wyse 3150SE with a Zebra label printer directly attached. They can print to other network attached laser printers, just not the label printer. This includes, from the printers properties screen, from notepad or WordPad, from Starship, logged in as the user or even Administrator, nothing works. But if I log out of the new server and back into the old one, everything works fine. Anyone have any idea as to where to look? Thank You ~Doug Rooney Sonoma Tilemakers IT Manager 7750 Bell Rd.
