Are the apps published on the same server or on a different server? _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Grecsek Sent: Monday, March 06, 2006 2:31 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Printers in published apps? We publish locked down desktops to our users. Users use a local computer with locally install printers. When the user logs into their published desktop their printers are auto-created and use the UPD. That all works like a champ. The issue we're having is that we also publish applications via the PNagent through that published desktop and those printers aren't being auto created in that published application. Users login to their published desktop some applications are installed locally and then the "one-offs" are published and accessed via the PNagent (so that the icon shows up on their desktop/start menu). It's all pretty seamless and works well. For instance MS Office is installed locally and we publish QuickBooks (I hate that program!). QuickBooks launches fine and it works as expected. The problem comes when they want to print from QuickBooks. None of their printers show up as being available within QuickBooks. Does anyone have a way/trick to make the users' printers show up in the published application? Thanks! Chris
